WELCOME TO WORLD BUDDHIST RELIGIOUS ASSOCIATION !
Established on May 27, 2002, the World Buddha Religious Association (WBRA) is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to social development and the betterment of communities through Buddhist principles. Inspired by the philanthropic vision of Ani (Yogini) Bhim Suwa Gurung, who has devoted her life to serving others in accordance with the teachings of the Buddha, WBRA emerged as a collective of like-minded individuals committed to institutionalized service.
Our mission is to foster peace and prosperity within communities by promoting a Buddhist philosophy centered on selfless service, human welfare, and meaningful development. Led by a diverse and multidisciplinary team, WBRA focuses on alleviating human suffering and enhancing social welfare through healthcare initiatives and the dissemination of Buddhist teachings, especially the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path.
We are actively working toward the establishment of a comprehensive Buddhist Centre that will include a Meditation Centre with accommodation facilities, a Gumba, the tallest Stupas of Buddha, and a hospital dedicated to the care and treatment of the elderly. Our commitment to promoting peace is unwavering, as we embrace the teachings of the Buddha and respect all individuals, regardless of race, creed, or political affiliation.
To realize our vision, we seek the support of esteemed Gurus, philanthropists, and community members who share our dedication to enhancing the lives of elderly monks and devotees. Additionally, we aim to reconstruct, renovate, and modernize key Buddhist cultural structures, including Stupas, monasteries, and libraries, to preserve and promote our rich heritage.
Join us in our mission to cultivate compassion and uplift communities, as we strive to embody the essence of Buddhist teachings in every endeavor we undertake.
